The NSW Country Positive Rugby Foundation works with the NSW Country Rugby Union (NSWCRU) to generate funds to invest in regional and rural community programs that support the wellbeing of one of the largest and most important groups of the NSW Rugby community.
The Country Rugby Union is made up of nine zones with over 200 clubs, made up of over 30,000 players and volunteers covering over eighty per cent of regional and rural NSW.
These country rugby clubs play a vital role in bringing people and families together through social inclusion and a sense of belonging.
Fundraising priorities include:
- Mental health education support and training to rugby clubs as centres of community support for drought affected regional communities
- People development support for club administrators and volunteers whom have unique geographical challenges in rural and regional areas
- Delivering high quality coach education through access to online coaching resources
