They’ve been battling it out in the nation’s capital over the last two weeks, and both Sydney and the NSW Country Eagles have performed strongly at the Under 19s Rugby Championship (URC).

Following their three pool matches, Sydney remain undefeated and will face Brisbane City in the Final on Saturday 12 October at the Australian Institute of Sport.

The NSW Country Eagles find themselves in a third-place playoff, with their only defeat coming at the hands of Sydney (39-26) in the competition’s opening round.

Both sides made light work of the Rebels, as Country tallied 61 points against the Melbourne outfit.

Likewise the Brumbies, with Sydney racking up 43 points as Tike Lokotui scored a double.

Likotui is one of a raft of try scorers for Sydney with Charlie Cale scoring a double in their opener against NSW Country.

Hudson Berry scored a hattrick against the Rebels, with Norwin Latu and Lachlan Shelley showcasing their ability to find the line.

Tane Edmed has led the way for Sydney, racking up 36 points across their three fixtures including two tries, while NSW Country’s Jack Walsh isn’t far behind with 33 points of his own.

It’s been a stark turnaround for both NSW sides, who finished towards the bottom of the URC standings in 2018.

All URC Finals will be available to live stream via rugby.com.au or nswwaratahs.com.au, with links to the stream to be published via our social channels.
