Central North Junior Rugby Union hosted a Club and Competitions workshop at their AGM in Barraba on the weekend.
The first workshop of its kind was designed around working with the clubs to develop initiatives they could implement to combat issues that exist around their clubs and club competitions.
CNJRU Zone President Renee Parks said it was good to get everyone together in the same room.
“A lot of our clubs issues are very common, so the workshop was a great way of pooling their resources and coming up with different initiatives,” Parks said.
“They’re leaving the room with initiatives that they can put into place to help with their areas of concern, and the knowledge of what initiatives have and haven’t worked for other clubs.”
It’s hoped that other zones will come on board to host similar workshops in the coming months.
All Junior zones have been contacted about when to run their respective workshop. Get in touch with the CJRU committee as soon as possible to confirm your dates.
