The curtain raiser will be played ahead of the Qantas Wallabies taking on Samoa in Australia’s final match ahead of the Rugby World Cup in Japan.

St Augustine’s won the Independent Schools Association (ISA) defeating the likes of St Gregory’s College Campbelltown, St Patrick’s College Strathfield and St Pius X College, Chatswood - the Alma Mater of current Qantas Wallabies’ Captain, Michael Hooper.

Waverley College was a strong competitor in this season’s CAS competition and has a proud Rugby history, producing recent Wallabies Stephen Hoiles, Adam Freier and Ryan Cross.

It’s the second time that Waverley have stepped out onto the turf of Bankwest, following an inter-association clash with The King’s School before the NSW Waratahs clash with Jaguares in May.

A special Schools ticket offer will also be available for fans with all juniors between the age of 4-16 able to purchase a ticket for $10, concessions at $20 and Adults at $30 for all silver category tickets via a special Schools code.

Rugby Australia will also create a new perpetual trophy for all curtain raiser matches played between Schools at any Qantas Wallabies or Buildcorp Wallaroos Test matches, called the Wallaby Schools Cup.

Schools that win the fixture will be engraved on the Cup to acknowledge their victory and corresponding Test match fixture it was played at.
