The side were greeted by Gen Blue U20 Head Coach Pat McCutcheon and General Manager of Rugby at NSW Waratahs Tim Rapp for an induction at today at Tahs HQ in Moore Park.
First cab off the rank was a talk on the ‘Waratah Way’, which encompasses a variety of aspects of the game both on and off the field.
Pat McCutcheon summed up what it means to train, prepare and play in the Waratah Way.
“We want to add value to the program by educating the boys around nutrition, recovery, hydration, injury management and leadership…just to name a few,” said McCutcheon.
“We feel it’s important that the NSW Waratahs put their stamp on the younger generations as they are the future of the game.”
The NSWSRU U16s are trialling for positions throughout the course of the weekend.
NSWSRU 1sts and 2nds will partake in the ASRU U18s Championships at St Ignatius College, Riverview from the 3-8 of July.
