The NSW Waratahs are proud to welcome NEC Networks and System Integration Corporation (NESIC) back on board for the 2020 Vodafone Super Rugby season.

The Japanese technology and systems specialists – who appeared on the collar of the NSW Waratahs matchday jersey in 2019 – have extended their involvement in Super Rugby a further season.

NESIC will now appear on the back of the NSW Waratahs 2020 matchday jersey.

Established in 1953, NESIC specialises in network and system technology for major infrastructure projects including sports stadia, hospitals, airports, shopping centres and hotels.

In the almost 12 months since NESIC began as an Official Partner of NSW Rugby and the NSW Waratahs, both organisations have developed relationships in new markets and built awareness of their brands in Asia and Australia respectively.

NSW Rugby Interim-CEO, Phillip Van Schalkwyk said the extension and upgrade of NESIC’s involvement with the NSW Waratahs speaks to the value of the partnership for both parties.

“We’ve had a wonderful working relationship with NESIC since they came on board earlier this year,” Van Schalkwyk said.

“It’s a partnership that allows us to introduce the value of NESIC’s offerings to an Australian market, and likewise it gives the NSW Waratahs brand more exposure throughout Asia.

“We share many of the same values from a business perspective and it’s nice to see NESIC aligning with the NSW Waratahs again in 2020.

“It’s been enjoyable to share our passion for rugby with the team at NESIC and we’re looking forward to building on that platform next year – it’s wonderful to have them back on board.”

Senior Vice President, NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation, Osamu Noda said that their renewed partnership with the NSW Waratahs was testament to their ‘Beyond Borders’ approach to business.

“At NESIC we strive to contribute to a safe, secure and fulfilling tomorrow,” Noda said.

“We are passionate about developing technology that connects players and fans, cities and stadiums – supporting organisations like the NSW Waratahs, who we are proud to partner with.

“NESIC’s relationship with the NSW Waratahs has been an enjoyable one which we are excited to continue.

“We look forward to seeing this renewed partnership helping us to go ‘Beyond Borders’ as we accelerate our business worldwide.”
