NSWRU are pleased to announce the 13-man squad that forms the 2021 NSWRU Men’s Sevens side.
The squad will travel to Narrabri this weekend where they will take part in the Santos Festival of Rugby – going head-to-head with the Australian Men’s 7s, Queensland 7s and Australian Pacific 7s sides across two days of competition.
The Festival of Rugby will form part of Aussie 7s preparation for Tokyo, with Australian coaches also eagerly watching on for the next generation of stars.
NSWRU Men’s 7s Head Coach Michael Hodge said his team are looking forward to the challenge the weekend presents.
“The team has been preparing well over the past three months and are very excited with the opportunity to challenge themselves against some of the best sevens players in Australia,” Hodge said.
“With a mix of experienced players, and some exciting up and coming talent, the squad are looking forward to a genuine opportunity to catch Tim Walsh’s eye,” he said.
The Santos Festival of Rugby commences on Friday, with the Men’s Sevens action from 2pm, before the Waratahs kick off against the QLD Reds at 8pm.
