Game 1: Waugh (Yellow) Vs Ella (Green)

Day two kicked off with an impressive kick-and-chase from Tom Longland, putting the first points on the board for Team Ella, followed by a successful conversion from Payton Tarau. Cooper Martin quickly responded for Team Waugh, receiving a pass out wide to score a try followed by a successful conversion, tying the game. Later in the half, two tries from Jack Smith and Jake Fourie pushed Team Ella ahead, going into halftime with a 17-7 lead. The second half was a defensive showcase, with no further tries scored as the final whistle blew.

Game 2: U14 Polota-Nau (White) Vs Baxter (Red)

Polota-Nau looked start the day with the momentum and intensity they found lateryesterday afternoon improving hugely on their morning performance. Team Baxter set the tone early with a series of intense attacking plays, leading to a try in the corner by Fin Hannon. Later in the half, they extended their lead with two more tries, one from Eduardo Garcia-Wood and another from Cordell Arama. However, all conversion attempts were missed, leaving an opening for Polota-Nau to stage a comeback in the second half.

 

Team Baxter continued their dominant first half, when just minutes in Eduardo Garcia-Wood kicked to himself along the wing for his second try of the day. Team Polota-Nau responded swiftly, securing their first try of the day through Wesley Moala. Leonard Salter followed up with an impressive sideline conversion, adding crucial points to keep them within reach. Julian Minto aimed to maintain Team Baxter's aggressive first-half momentum, sprinting the length of the field to score an impressive try under the posts, followed by an easy conversion. Moments later, Destin Tausala and Iverson Tanuvasa from Team Polota-Nau responded with a try each, accompanied by two successful conversions from Leonard Salter to keep the pressure on.

Game 3: Waugh (Yellow) vs Gavin (Orange)

Both teams began with intensity, fiercely contesting field position in the opening minutes. It was Alexander Motuliki from team Gavin who broke the deadlock, powering over for a try, with Levi Strong adding a successful conversion Wilson Ruthven from Team Waugh attempted to turn the tide with a outstanding intercept, but play was halted when a high tackle was called. Shortly after, Archie Marshall extended Team Gavin's dominance with a try in the corner, though the conversion attempt was unsuccessful.

 

The second half began with strong defensive efforts from both teams. However, Jayden Richards broke through with a fast run, soon followed by Jharall Sione to finish the play with a try for his team. Jharall Sione secured his second try for Team Waugh, followed by a successful conversion. Team Gavin quickly responded with a try from Oliver McGarity, though the conversion attempt fell short.

Game 4: Ella (Green) vs Baxter (Red)

As both teams stepped onto the field for their final match of the tournament, Team Baxter struck early with a try from Julian Minto, in an attempt to set the tone for the contest. However, Team Ella quickly fought back when Jack Smith made a remarkable run down the field, fending off defenders to level the score at 5-all. A powerful run through the center by Baxter's Samuel Price resulted in a try under the posts, which Archie Hartman converted swiftly to extend their lead. A fast-paced and impressive combination between Jack Procter and Ahmed Kassir set up Jack Smith for a try on the wing. Although the conversion was unsuccessful, it set the stage for an exciting second half with the score at 10-12 to team Baxter.

 

Team Ella showed great patience in the second half, methodically building their attack before Tom Longland crossed for a try, which was followed by a successful conversion.  To tie the score 17-all, Julian Minto executed a brilliant kick-and-chase to score his second try of the match. Archie Hartman then nailed a tricky conversion off the post, putting team Baxter ahead. After a yellow card to team Baxter, team Ella capitalised on the advantage, with Cia Garrett scoring a try in the corner. Payton Tarau followed up with a remarkable conversion, putting team Ella in the lead. Team Baxter quickly responded with a powerful try from Cordell Amituanai and a game winning conversion to Archie Hartman.

The final match of the cup kicked off with Archie Marshall leading Team Gavin to their first points, scoring an exciting try on the wing. Team Gavin continued to dominate throughout the first half, showcasing their control over the competition and heading into halftime with a commanding 26-0 lead.

 

Team Polota-Nau regrouped at halftime, displaying their resilience as Sebastian Conna powered over the line for their first try of the match moments into the second half. However, it wasn’t enough, as Team Gavin continued to assert their strength throughout the second half, securing a convincing 45-10 victory.
