NSW Rugby Union is proud to announce the launch of NSW Rugby TV app, a dedicated stand-alone streaming platform for community rugby across NSW. The app, which launched today, will now complement the web-based streaming platform (nswrugby.tv) where fans can conveniently watch on a dedicated mobile space.

NSW Rugby TV will showcase over 1,500 live and on-demand replays of XV's and Sevens rugby annually across a multitude of NSW Rugby affiliated unions and programs, including but not limited to NSW Suburban Rugby, NSW Country Rugby, NSW Junior Rugby 9including the NSW Junior State Championships), NSW Women’s Rugby and Gen Blue and School Representative Trials.

NSW Rugby TV will be powered by Cluch, who will provide the technology and back-of-house support for the app ensuring viewers will have quality coverage of community rugby at their fingertips and from the comfort of their living room.

The NSW Rugby TV app and web will be a game-changer for community rugby with the unprecedented exposure and awareness it provides for local clubs and schools and exciting commercial opportunities that can be generated through the streaming of their matches.

NSW Rugby TV is also proudly built by rugby for rugby ensuring income generated is re-invested back into the grassroots of the game in NSW.

NSW Rugby CEO Paul Doorn said “This is an extremely exciting time for community rugby and the access that NSW Rugby TV provides, not only for the clubs and schools but for family members and friends who might struggle to get the game, is incredible. The NSW Rugby TV app will ensure you’ll never miss a moment, no matter where you are.

“Through NSW Rugby TV, community rugby has a fantastic opportunity to promote its sponsors and partners via a range of commercial opportunities including TVCs, billboards, and in-program integrations, enabling all levels of Rugby in NSW to directly and indirectly reap the benefits.

"The majority of revenue generated by the service will also be retained by the game to be reinvested into game development and a multitude of rugby programs in the future.

“The NSW Rugby TV app is a giant leap forward for community rugby and we are proud to lead the way in broadcasting community sport through our partners at Cluch.”

Hamish Bayliss, Head of Commercial for Cluch, added “Cluch is delighted to extend our partnership with NSW Rugby and launch the NSW Rugby TV app. The NSW Rugby TV app will combine a world-class streaming experience for fans with a powerful data and analytics solution only possible through the aggregation of multiple competitions.”

“The NSW Rugby community has embraced our streaming platform and we are excited to build on our content offering this year, particularly in the regional areas via the inclusion of regular season Country Zone Rugby that will feature several 1st Grade competitions.”

The Apple app has arrived at the perfect time for viewers to watch NSW Suburban Rugby competitions this weekend.

The app features subscription pricing models to suit every need, ranging from day passes to tournament passes, to yearly subscriptions.

NSW Rugby TV app is available for download via the Apple App Store and can be streamed on iPhones and iPads – coming soon to Android Mobile, Android TV and Apple TV – with viewers able to subscribe and tune in from any country in the world.
