Eight Waratahs named in Wallaroos side to take on Black ferns in Pacific Four Series

Buildcorp Wallaroos Head Coach Jay Tregonning has named eight Waratahs in his side for this Thursday's nights clash against the Black Ferns, which kicks off the Pacific Four Series and the O’Reilly Cup.

Waratahs centre Georgina Friedrichs has been named vice-captain. Former Waratahs representatives Emily Chancellor and Arabella McKenzie have also been named to play in their first Tests for the year, after they missed the Fiji Test in Sydney due to club commitments in the UK.

Head coach Jay Tregonning is looking to build continuity within the squad, "We're looking forward to going up against the World Champions.

"I've been impressed by Kaitlan Leaney, Emily Chancellor and Arabella McKenzie, who have developed their skills during their time with the Harlequins in England.

"The squad has continued to grow and learn in the wake of our win in Sydney earlier this year - now it's time to test that knowledge."

The Buildcorp Wallaroos v Black Ferns match kicks off at 7:00pm AEST this Thursday, 29 June, at Dolphin Stadium in Moreton Bay.

The match will be broadcast on 9GO, and shown live, ad-free and on-demand on Stan Sport.
