The Waratahs’ new home at the state-of-the-art Allianz Stadium is almost complete and fans will be given an exclusive opportunity to experience it before the official opening in September.

A free community event on Sunday, August 28 will be jam-packed with entertainment, fun activities for all ages, and access to our city’s biggest sporting stars. The day will be broken into two sessions, showcasing all the venue has to offer.

During the day session from 11am-3pm you’ll have the chance to meet your favourite NSW Waratahs players and be among the first to lace up your shoes in the changerooms on a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium.

Fans will also be able to soak up the live music, performers, and activation stations across the precinct, while enjoying Merivale’s new food and beverage offering.

The night session kicks off between 5pm-9pm featuring an official opening ceremony and live performances from Guy Sebastian and Baker Boy.

Directed by the renowned Nigel Jamieson, Opening Night at Allianz Stadium promises to deliver a visual spectacular, with dancers, light shows, large-scale projections, pyrotechnics, and our city’s most famous sports stars to be honoured in an event not to be missed.

Tickets are free and include Public Transport but are limited.
