Regions across New South Wales will be buzzing this June long weekend, with the 2022 NSW State Championships set to be held from 11-13 June 2022.

The 2022 NSW State Championships will be the biggest on record, with more than 190 teams and 4,500 juniors playing at nine venues across NSW.

In an exciting addition, two fields at every venue will also be live streamed via NSW Rugby TV - click here for more.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union General Manager Ben Gregory said it will be a great festival of rugby.

“Each year, we look forward to bringing our community back together at the NSW State Championships, and this year will be no different,” Gregory said.

“We have our largest team numbers ever seen, and will also be welcoming teams from Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

“The NSW State Championships is also a great way to connect our community, and we look forward to welcoming some legends of the sport, administrators and life members to enjoy the long weekend at rugby,” he said.

Gregory added that an event like this, and of this size, would not be possible without the incredible support of The Rugby Club Foundation, Positive Rugby Foundation and Rugby 1st.

“This event would simply not be possible without the support of our partners, and I’d firstly like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation who have gone above and beyond in their support this year,” Gregory said.

“Not only have they funded each team’s entry to the competition, but they have also facilitated First Aid services to ensure that our players are safe, and supported our referees to make sure we have quality officiating at each venue.

“This is also the third year we have had the Positive Rugby Foundation (boys) and Rugby 1st (girls) on as Naming Rights Partners, and their ongoing support is deeply appreciated,” he said.

The NSW State Championships will get underway on Saturday 11 June. For the full draws.
