NSW Waratahs Women have named their team to face the QLD Reds ahead of their top-of-the-table clash.

Waratahs Women’s Head Coach Campbell Aitken has made four changes to the starting XV including a returning Wallaroo.

Emily Robinson retains her starting position alongside Adiana Talakai who has equalled the most caps for the hooker position (13). Bridie O’Gorman makes her way into the starting line-up, whilst Eva Karpani, who physically dominated the Drua side, will look to make a huge impact coming off the bench.

Rosie Ebbage and Leilani Nathan for the third week in a row will be the duo in the second row.

The competition's best back row took a blow earlier this week with captain Piper Duck being ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Loretta Mailangi who played her first game of the season last week will move into blindside, Fi Jones will continue at openside, and Grace Hamilton will move to number 8 and take the captaincy for the week. This will add to her record as most appearances as captain (12).

Last week’s double try scorer Layne Morgan returns with Ella Ryan in the halves, whilst Katrina Barker continues at second five-eight.

Georgina Friedrichs returns from a shoulder injury that ruled her out of last week’s clash against Drua. Desiree Miller will start on the left wing and Margot Vella will replace injured Maya Stewart who will be rested due to concussion protocols.

Youngster Caitlyn Halse stays as a fullback ahead of her first clash with state rivals the Reds.

Campbell Aitken has a lot of experience on the bench and will be looking to Ana-Lise Sio and Kaparni to finish off the game, they will combine with Brianna Hoy and Bronte Wilson to round off the forwards.

Tatum Bird who returns for her second game of the season will be combined with Claudia Meltzer and one of last week’s try scorers Jade Sheridan.

After a dominant performance last week against competition heavyweights Drua, Aitkens Women will look to continue their unbeaten streak against the Reds this Sunday at Concord Oval – kick-off at 3:05 PM
