24 Girls take on QLD this Sunday at Riverwood Park.
This squad was chosen from the recent State Championships held in Forster. Out of the exceptional pool of athletes, 24 girls have been chosen to form two formidable teams, set to participate in a thrilling match against Queensland.
This exciting encounter will take place at Riverwood Park in Sydney on Sunday, 15th of October, starting at 11:00 am and concluding around 4:30 pm.
The mini-event promises a day filled with intense competition, showcasing the exceptional skills and determination of the young athletes.
What makes this event even more special is its alignment with the Sydney Juniors' "Spring 7s," which will also be played at Riverwood Park on the same day.
In addition to this mini-event, there will be another trial session scheduled for December. During this trial, the girls will have the opportunity to showcase their skills once again, aiming to secure a spot in the final team of 13 players.
This selected team will represent NSW in the prestigious "Battle of the Border," scheduled to take place in February 2024.
NSWRU is committed to providing opportunities for young athletes to excel and reach their full potential in the sport. The selection of these Under 17 Girls and the upcoming events reflect our dedication to fostering talent and promoting the love of the game among the next generation.
