Former Captain of the club, Grace Hamilton is a rugby powerhouse for the NSW Waratahs. Hailing from Panuara in Country NSW, Hamilton only began playing Rugby on her University exchange to USA in 2013, demonstrating to women around the world that it is never too late to play the beautiful game. Growing up around Rugby with her footy fuelled family, Hamilton was always on the sidelines cheering her father and brother on while she excelled in Netball and Athletics. Her sporting background served her well when she decided to join the Sydney University Women’s side in 2014, establishing herself as one of their most consistent performers who sought higher honours in both the Sevens and Fifteens format of Rugby before joining the Wallaroos in 2016. After making her international debut against the mighty Black Ferns, Hamilton continued into the Rugby Women’s World Cup (2017, 2021/22) and is widely recognised as one of the premier No. 8’s in the world. The Tahs are grateful to have the John Eales Medallist (2019) on board for the 2023 season of the Buildcorp Super W Competition.
