Katrina Rathie
Director

Appointed to the NSW Rugby Board in 2020, Katrina is the Chair of our Nominations and Remuneration Committee. She is a professional Non-Executive Director, lawyer, public speaker, role model, advocate and champion for gender and cultural diversity. She was named the Overall Winner of the prestigious AFR 100 Women of Influence list in the Board & Management category (2019) for her contribution to the law, gender and cultural diversity.

Katrina has strong credentials and wide experience in corporate governance. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of Chief Executive Women and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of SBS, Bubs Australia (ASX: BUB), Starlight Children's Foundation Australia, NSW Rugby Union/Waratah’s Rugby and Cranbrook School. She serves on the UNSW Law & Justice Advisory Council, the Culture Strategy Committee for Sydney University and is NSW Patron of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association.

Katrina enjoyed a distinguished legal career, most recently as Partner in Charge, Sydney at top tier global law firm King & Wood Mallesons. Her legal speciality is in the areas of advertising, marketing, sports, media and intellectual property law. She has been a trusted advisor to sporting organisations, television/streaming networks, media organisations, global advertisers, sponsors and creators of content for over 35 years.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Financial Management)/Laws from UNSW Sydney and is admitted to practice law in Australia and the New York Bar.
