Brianna Hoy is a hard-working prop hailing from Coffs Harbour who has endured a rollercoaster start to her Rugby career.
Hoy grew up wanting to represent Australia in basketball, where she also excelled, before turning her focus to rugby in her late teens, joining the Coffs Harbour Snappers.
Wallaroos teammate Kaitlan Leaney is a close friend of Hoy’s with the pair from the same region.
After rupturing her ACL early in her career, Hoy moved to Sydney for study and returned to the field via Sydney University.
She broke into the NSW Waratahs squad in 2021, making her debut in the Super Rugby Women's competition.
Hoy went on to make her debut for Australia in 2023 against England and featured for the Wallaroos during the first half of the 2024 international season before suffering another ACL injury at a training session in Belfast in September.
She returned home for immediate surgery in a bid to be available for the 2025 Rugby World Cup.
