Charlie Gamble

Charlie Gamble - a powerful running / on-baller flanker has walked a notably unique path in his rugby career - Christchurch schoolboy footballer, Youth Olympian, Crusaders academy, NZ U19s, NSW “Subbies”, Eastern Suburbs, Waratahs, Wallaby squad.

Born in Canterbury in New Zealand, Gamble has taken the long road to Super Rugby, via the Crusaders Academy in New Zealand and through club rugby at Petersham and Eastern Suburbs in the Shute Shield.

Gamble made his debut for the Waratahs in 2021 and has been an integral part of the team ever since, playing 23 games and emerging as one of the breakout stars of the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific competition.

The backrower’s strong form in 2022 was recognised by winning the Waratahs Forward of the Year award and earning selection in the Wallabies training camp earlier this year on the Gold Coast.
