From Kempsey, NSW, first played rugby with the Kempsey Cannonballs. A product of the Sevens pathway where he was hailed as a breakout star on the 2022-2023 world series. Gifted with lightning speed, his excellent Under 20s World Championships proved he can match it with the best in the longer format of the game and was signed by the Melbourne Rebels. Lancaster stood out immediately, scoring on debut against the NSW Waratahs before a hat-trick against the Highlanders announced the 21-year-old to the world. Form led to selection for the Wallabies in their 2024 July series as one of 13 uncapped players.
