Debuting for the club in 2018, Johnson-Holmes was one of the sixteen debutants in 2018 when he came on as a replacement in the NSW Waratahs opener against the Stormers. A Cowra native, Johnson-Holmes is one of the team’s rising front rowers. The proud country lad who moved to Newcastle for club rugby has seen him selected for the Wallabies squad. Johnson-Holmes has come through the age grade ranks at NSW Rugby, representing Gen Blue and the NSW Country Eagles in NRC. The Tight-Head prop has also honed his skills at the NSW Combined High Schools and Australian Schools team in 2015, a fierce U20s Super Rugby season and selection into the Australian U20s for the 2017 University World Championship. He has also won the 2017 Dave Dennis Player of the Year Award for the NSW U20s Academy player of the year. After some initial setbacks with his Achilles injury, the Tahs are excited to have him back for the 2023 season of the Super Rugby Pacific Competition.
