Wagga Wagga-born Burey played mostly at full-back across nine games last season but is a versatile back. Had to be patient, earning his Super Rugby debut in 2023 as a 24-year-old after injuries to other playmakers opened the door for him, having been flying in from Sydney between club games for training. Previously represented Australia’s Sevens side, while he has links with Cron from his time at Northern Suburbs in the NSW Shute Shield. He’s studying construction management and enjoys golf on the side.
