Ice in the veins, fire off the boot — Tane Edmed arrives in Canberra ready to take control.
After rising through Eastwood, Edmed debuted for the NSW Waratahs in 2021 and enjoyed a breakout 2022 season, famously steering an upset win over the Crusaders at Leichhardt Oval. A stint with North Harbour in New Zealand’s NPC in 2024 elevated his game further, finishing as the competition’s leading point-scorer — including a 33-point masterclass against Manawatu — and earning a Wallabies call-up.
He made his Test debut in 2024 and added further caps during The Rugby Championship, including a composed starting performance against Argentina in Sydney. By 2025, he had cemented himself as a consistent Super Rugby presence while continuing to feature in the national setup.
Now bringing his game management, goal-kicking accuracy and big-match temperament to the capital, Edmed adds proven pedigree to the Brumbies’ playmaking stocks.
Heading into the 2026 season, Edmed stands as a poised conductor in Brumbies colours — confident, calculated and ready to steer the side when the stakes are highest.
