After months of training, the final drills have been run, the teams have been selected and the gates are ready to be opened for the inaugural season of Buildcorp Super W which kicks off this weekend.
150 Women will participate in the new competition as each of the five state-based sides vie to be crowned national champions and individual players fight for selection in the Buildcorp Wallaroos squad for 2018.
Queensland Women will host NSW Women at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane for the season’s opener in a showpiece double header with the Super Rugby clash between the Queensland Reds and the Bulls, while Western Force Women will host Melbourne Rebels Women on Sunday at Cottesloe Rugby Club in Perth.
In week two of competition, the NSW Women will host the Western Force Women at Allianz Stadium at part of a blockbuster double header on the afternoon of Sunday 18 March.
As players from the five teams assembled in Brisbane on International Women’s Day to launch the inaugural season, it was announced the competition has been bolstered by additional corporate support.
The Buildcorp Super W will be broadcast every match on FOX SPORTS with one match per round to be broadcast LIVE on RUGBY.com.au.
