The NSW Waratahs have confirmed the addition of Mahalia Murphy to their squad for the remainder of the Buildcorp Super W season.
Head Coach, Campbell Aitken will have 31 players to select for the remainder of the campaign, with Murphy further strengthening the depth across the backline.
Predominately plying her trade at fullback, Murphy is able to fill a number of positions.
The dynamic back has represented Australia in Rugby League, Rugby 7s and featured for the Wallaroos – making her debut in 2017.
A product of Western Sydney, Murphy is renowned for her lighting speed and ability to find the tryline – attributes that have served her well in both 7s and XVs over the last few years.
She returns to the NSW Waratahs Women’s set up after a stint with the Australian 7s.
Having trained with the squad over the last week, Aitken is set to give Murphy some game time during his side’s trial against Fijiana at David Phillips Sports Complex, naming her on an extended bench.
Murphy’s first opportunity to feature in Super W will be against the Brumbies in Round 3 at Bankwest Stadium.
