As we all eagerly await from community and professional rugby to return, there’s plenty you can do to stay connected to the game!

 

Rugby Australia are offering a wealth of online education courses for coaches and referees, allowing everyone involved in the game to sharpen their skills and knowledge before we return to play.

 

Referee Development:

 

A series of videos detailing elements of refereeing – from kick offs, lineout to maul and tackling – are available for budding referees to learn more about the game, or established referees to brush up on their knowledge.

 

This is a completely free resource and features the likes of Amy Perrett, Damon Murphy and Jordan Way.

Referee Webinars:

 

A deep dive into the world of refereeing with discussions on philosophy, game management guidelines and profiles on some of the game’s most experienced whistle-blowers.

 

Another freely available resource that provides access to Angus Gardner, Nic Berry and Mitch Chapman.

Coach Development:

 

Smart Rugby is a coaching resource that has been available to all levels of the game for several years, providing the perfect way for changes in the game to widely communicated throughout the rugby community.

 

The course costs $95 and is fully endorsed by all Member Unions and is a great way to keep your knowledge up-to-date.
