NSW Waratahs CEO Paul Doorn recently took a small number of corporate partners on a stadium tour of the new Sydney Football Stadium at Moore Park.
The stadium is tracking on schedule for a practical completion in July 2022, with the concourse structure now complete and structural roof steel currently being installed.
The state-of-the-art facility will provide a game day experience like no other venue in Australia, with fans guaranteed not only a brilliant view of the field from any seat in the house, but will be treated to the largest video screens in the southern hemisphere.
The stadium also features enhanced pedestrian access, safer and easier access for people with mobility impairments, and features a larger roof with 100% of seats behind the drip line.
The convenient location at Moore Park will again link members and fans easily back to the city through the new light rail station as well as the short walk from Central station. Fans will once again have the pick of Surry Hills and Paddington pubs and restaurants for pre-match and post-match dinner and drinks.
Inside the venue, fans will have access to an incredible array of food and drink options providing an unprecedented game day experience.
The concourse will offer 64 food and beverage outlets, merchandise stands, and features a 360-degree circulation around the entire stadium ensuring fans will have views to the field of play from all food and beverage outlets.
NSW Waratahs CEO Paul Doorn said it was a huge boost for the Waratahs and their members and fans to be back at their home base at Moore Park.
“We are delighted to return home to Moore Park to a new world-class stadium for the Waratahs 2023 season,” Doorn said.
“This stadium will provide an amazing game day experience being so close to the city, back to the Paddington days, Surry Hills, somewhere to go before and after the game which I think will really bring our members back.
“As a member and fan of the Waratahs you’ll get an amazing selection of seating and there won’t be a bad seat in the house.”
The Sydney Football Stadium is due for a practical completion in July 2022 and will be the Waratahs home ground from the 2023 season.
