Wallaroos Head Coach Jay Tregonning has named his squad for the upcoming contest against the Black Ferns, at Moreton Bay's Dolphin Stadium on June 29th.

The 31-player squad will assemble at camp on the Gold Coast next week as the group prepares to take on New Zealand. The contest will be the first match in the 2023 O'Reilly Cup and the first of Australia's games in the 2023 Pacific Four Series.

Qualification for the new global WXV Series will be at stake throughout the Pacific Four competition, with the top three teams going through to the WXV 1 tournament in New Zealand in October, and fourth - sixth place going to WXV 2 in South Africa at the same time.

After a convincing win 22-5 over Fijiana at Sydney's Allianz Stadium in May, competition for spots on the Wallaroos squad has never been fiercer.

"We welcome back three of our players from England and wish Lori Cramer and the Exeter Chiefs all the best in their Grand Final," Tregonning said.

"The coaches and I were pleased with the level of commitment and skill the Wallaroos displayed at the Sydney Test match last month, and we look forward to building on that momentum as we prepare to take on the Black Ferns.

"The group is looking forward to testing themselves against the current World Champions - it's always an exciting match!"

The largely unchanged squad consists of seven Queensland Reds players, twelve NSW Waratahs players, five ACT Brumbies players, two Western Force players and one from the Melbourne Rebels.

The squad will travel to Canada on June 30 to compete in the remaining Pacific Four Series, where they will be joined in Ottawa by Lori Cramer.
