The Waratahs have put in a dominant performance in the opening Round of the Buildcorp Super W competition, running out 43-0 winners over the Western Force at Allianz Stadium.
The Waratahs returned to Allianz Stadium for the first time since their iconic Grand Final win in 2018 and Waratahs Head Coach Campbell Aitken rolled out a side featuring an exciting mix of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers.
Caitlyn Halse became the Waratahs youngest ever player, making her debut at sixteen years old, alongside Jade Sheridan, Desiree Miller, and Ella Ryan.
The Waratahs had the better of the opening stages of the match with new captain Piper Duck leading the way for the women.
Duck grabbed the first try of the match before Maya Stewart added to her incredible try scoring record, which now stands at 20 tries in just 13 matches.
Katrina Barker and Adiana Talakai also scored tries in the first half, leaving the Waratahs up 24-0 at the break.
The Waratahs kept their foot on the pedal in the second half, grabbing three more unanswered tries to Margot Vella, a second to Piper Duck and a final try to Jade Sheridan who scored the try of the night off the back of a brilliant break from Desiree Miller.
Waratahs Captain Piper Duck said: "The girls were working hard all pre-season and to finally put it on the paddock, we're really happy.”
"Of course, there's some work-ons but we're really happy with that strong performance."
The Waratahs now turn their attention to their round two fixture against the Brumbies in huge double header in Canberra at Gio Stadium on Saturday 1 April.
