The homeside scored eight tries in the second 40 to finish off the day victorious.

The day started brightly for Sydney when they jumped to an early lead thanks to young Will Harrison who went over near the posts after some good lead up work in the 20th minute.

Harrison then converted his own try and had a hand in Sydney’s second points for the day, which came from some good lead up work from Harry Burey and Harrison to release John Folau down the right edge.

Folau, who had his first start after coming off the bench last weekend against Queensland Country, got on the outside of Archie King and raced around near the posts.

The home side dominated Sydney’s scrum in the first 40 minutes and that would unfortunately continue for the rest of the afternoon as Melbourne cut loose in the second half.

Latu Latunipulu hit back for Sydney in the 71st minute after some nice work from Phipps, which saw the ball move wide to Harrison who gave the final pass for the try. But with two tries in the final eight minutes, Melbourne pushed the score up over 50 once again.
