They’re the suppliers of the unseen and unsung heroes of NSW Waratahs game day, and Budgy Smuggler will continue their association with the NSW Waratahs for a further two years.
A regular under playing kits on match day or at recovery swim sessions, the NSW Waratahs Men’s and Women’s teams will continue to be decked out in Budgy Smuggler’s famous smugglers and smugglettes.
Coming on board as an official supplier in 2017, the team at Budgy Smuggler has a long association with the NSW Waratahs and the game of rugby at large.
The Australian owned and operated company will continue to stock their range of official NSW Waratahs smugglers and smugglettes for purchase both in-store or online.
NSWRU General Manager of Rugby, Tim Rapp said that the official NSW Waratahs smugglers were a popular bit of kit amongst the playing group.
“The boys are all big fans of the smugglers, to have our own designed Tahs smugglers is brilliant,” Rapp said.
“They’re an essential for any recovery session, I think a few of the boys appear around Sydney in them fairly regularly – rumour has it you’re guaranteed to find Lachy Swinton strutting around Coogee Beach in his smugglers right throughout the Summer.
“We really like working with the team at Budgy Smuggler and we’re glad to continue our association with a company that was founded and proudly operates in New South Wales.”
Brenden Hartmann, General Manager of Budgy Smuggler said, “The Rugby community in general has a big contributor to Budgy Smuggler’s growth over the years, and it turns out Budgys are now a big part of modern Rugby.”
“We’re stoked to partner up with the Tahs and support our home team.”
