NSW Rugby Union (NSWRU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Palfreyman and Grahame O’Donnell to its Board of Directors. Both individuals bring extensive experience and expertise to the company, reinforcing NSWRU's commitment to innovation and growth.
Jane Palfreyman has more than 25 years of experience across the media industry in Australia and the UK, including roles with SBS, Nova Entertainment, Global Radio and Southern Cross Austereo.
She is currently Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer at SBS, overseeing the public broadcaster’s marketing and sales divisions and responsible for all elements of commercial revenue, brand management, on and off-channel marketing, digital strategy, publicity, and social media which will contribute valuable insight to NSWRU’s strategic direction.
Grahame O'Donnell is a Senior Sales Executive and Sales Manager in the Industrial and Safety sector for over 30 years. He had a successful 18-year career at the Northern Suburbs Rugby Football Club, serving as President for 6 years, Director of Rugby for 6 years, including the 1st Grade Grand Final win in 2016, and was Coach of the winning 2nd Grade team in 2008.
In 2009, he was appointed Head Coach/1st Grade Coach until his retirement from coaching after 2011. He was also Director of Rugby at the North Harbour/Sydney Rays in the National Rugby Championship.
He was elected to the Sydney Rugby Union Board and appointed President in October 2024, his knowledge of the Sydney Rugby Union space will be instrumental as the company continues to grow that aspect of the game.
