The NSW Rugby team is hitting the road, with the launch of the Our Turn Camps, travelling across New South Wales in their sleek Peugeot 3008 Hybrid to inspire the next generation of girls in rugby.

As part of the Play Our Way Australian Government initiative, the Our Turn Camps are bringing high-quality rugby experiences to girls across Tamworth, Moree, Coffs Harbour, and Port Macquarie, as well as Sydney Metro locations including Hunters Hill & Western Sydney, Camden, Kiama, and Dubbo ensuring that no matter where you live, there’s a place for you in the game.

Each camp is designed to spark confidence, build friendships, and show girls that rugby truly is their game.

Whether they’re lacing up for the first time or already passionate about the sport, every participant is welcomed with open arms with no experience required, just a willingness to give it a go.

“These camps are about more than rugby. They’re about confidence, connection, and community,” said Linda Hutton, Female Participation Manager. “We want girls across NSW, from city suburbs to country towns, to see that there’s a place for them in the game.”

From Sydney’s northern, western, and southern hubs to the wide open fields of country NSW, the Our Turn team is on a mission to make rugby more accessible for girls everywhere. This is just the beginning  - with plans already underway to expand to even more venues across the state in 2026.

“Our regional and metro communities are full of talent, passion, and potential,” Linda Hutton continued. “We’re just giving them the tools and the opportunity to shine. When girls feel confident in themselves, they play better, lead stronger, and inspire others to join them.”

The Our Turn Camps focus on helping girls learn core rugby skills in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment - led by NSW Rugby coaches and supported by some of the state’s top female players.

By investing in girls’ rugby through the Play Our Way initiative, NSW Rugby is nurturing the next wave of players, leaders, and changemakers, and proving that the future of the game is bright, strong, and female.

Our turn camp Road trip begins on Wednesday, October 8th, followed by Tamworth, Moree, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Hunters Hill.
